Up until today 119 books have been published, which could all be described as rare books, not only because of their small print runs, but also because it was always intended to publish unique books, books that did not exist before, and that no one else would publish.
Edition Patrick Frey works in close collaboration with mainly Swiss but also international artists. The area of impact of the books was always meant transboundary. It is the purpose of Edition Patrick Frey to provide particularly young artists an opportunity and a platform with a first publication. Currently up to 12 books are being produced per year, focussing on photography, art, and projects dealing with everyday and popular culture.
