2009年にDieuwertje Komenは5つの中規模都市、フランスのボルドー、スロバキアのコシツェ、チェコのプルゼニ、ベルギーのモンス、それとこの依頼を彼女にしたベルラーへ研究所のあるロッテルダムを訪れた。これらの都市はヨーロッパにおける文化の首都となるべきだった場所でもある。彼女はそれらの都市で撮影した写真をランダムにならべ、本の中で常に場所が変わるツアーを作り上げた。それによって、一つの都市に限らない、中規模の都市に共通する何かをあぶりだす事に成功している。
